Cookie policy

What this site stores, and when.

The short version: until you choose Allow analytics on the cookie notice, this site loads nothing from Google and sets no analytics cookie. If you never choose, that stays true for as long as you browse.

Before you choose

The pages are static files. They make no request to any third party, run no advertising code, and set no cookie. The only thing kept in your browser at this stage is held in memory for the tab you are in: if you arrived from a search result, an ad, or another site, the site works out which campaign or referrer sent you and holds that in memory only. It is not written to disk and not sent anywhere. Close the tab and it is gone.

If you choose Allow analytics

Google Tag Manager loads, and it loads Google Analytics 4. Analytics sets its own cookies in your browser, named _ga and _ga_<stream id>, which is how it tells a returning visitor from a new one. Analytics records which pages you view and three specific things you can do here:

  • Clicking a phone number, recorded as phone_click
  • Clicking an email address, recorded as email_click
  • Clicking a link that leaves this site, recorded as outbound_click

Those three are the whole conversion picture here, because this site has no contact forms. Each one carries the link that was clicked and, if there was one, the campaign that brought you. The campaign source held in memory is written to your browser session at this point so it survives a page reload; it is cleared when you close the tab.

This is measurement, not advertising. There is no advertising tag on this site, no remarketing audience, and no Google Ads account linked to the analytics property. Nothing collected here is sold or passed to anyone. Analytics event data on this property is kept for fourteen months and then deleted.

If you choose Decline

Nothing loads. Tag Manager is never requested, Analytics never runs, and no analytics cookie is set. Your clicks are still classified in the page so the site does not need two different code paths, but the result is discarded immediately rather than sent. The site works identically either way, and declining costs you nothing.

Remembering your choice

Whichever you pick is stored in your browser under eliteseo-consent. That is not a cookie, it is never sent to a server, and it exists only so the notice stops asking. It is the one thing stored without asking first, because a refusal that is forgotten on the next page is not a refusal.

You can change your mind at any time, in either direction.

Clearing your browser data for this site also clears the choice, and the notice will ask again. Browser settings and extensions that block Analytics work normally here; nothing on this site tries to detect or get around them.
