SEO Consulting
Most of what we do is hands-on SEO management. Consulting is for teams who’d rather keep execution in-house and want direction: a roadmap, a second opinion, an audit of work already underway, or a developer briefed on exactly what to fix.
What Consulting Covers
Five shapes of engagement, all aimed at the same outcome: your team leaves with direction it can execute without us.
Strategy & roadmap work
A prioritized plan for what to do and in what order — built around your actual constraints, not a generic playbook, and handed to your team to run.
Auditing your current effort
A structured review of what an in-house marketer or your current agency has already shipped: what's working, what's wasted motion, and what's missing entirely.
Training your marketing person
Sessions built around your site and your tools, so whoever owns marketing internally understands not just what to change but why — and can keep making sound calls after we're gone.
Technical direction for a developer
Specs a developer can implement without guessing: what the crawl, indexation, or markup problem actually is, and what "fixed" looks like.
Second-opinion reviews
An outside read on a proposal, contract, or plan before you sign — so you know whether the scope matches the price before you commit to either.
Built for Teams That Want to Execute, Not Outsource
This is the opposite case from a done-for-you engagement. It fits a company with a marketing hire or a developer already in seat who needs direction rather than delegation — or a decision-maker who wants an outside read before signing a contract with someone else. If you’d rather the work itself was handled for you, the hands-on engagements are the better fit; consulting exists specifically for the teams that don’t want that.
How an Engagement Is Shaped
1. Scoped conversation first
We talk through what you're trying to solve — a stalled roadmap, a contract you're unsure about, a team that needs direction — before anything is scheduled.
2. Working session or written review
Depending on the ask, that's a live session with your team or a written assessment of the work, the proposal, or the plan in front of you.
3. Findings you can act on without us
Recommendations are handed over in a form your team can execute directly. Consulting doesn't come with a retainer attached by default.
You Talk to the Person Doing the Reviewing
Consulting sessions are run by the founder directly — the same person who audits a site, reviews a proposal, or briefs a developer is the one you’re on the call with. There’s no account manager translating your question before it reaches whoever actually knows the answer.
Consulting Questions, Answered Straight
How is this different from the free audit?
The free audit is a fixed-scope manual review of your site, offered to anyone at no cost, with no follow-on obligation. Consulting is a paid engagement scoped to a specific need — reviewing a proposal, training a hire, directing a developer — that goes deeper than the audit's standard checklist. Most people start with the free audit; consulting is for a more specific ask than that report answers.
Can you review what my current agency is doing?
Yes. We look at the work itself — what's actually been implemented, not just what was promised — and tell you plainly whether it holds up, where the gaps are, and whether the scope justifies what you're being charged. We don't need to take over the account to do that.
Do you train our team?
Yes, when that's the goal. If you have a marketer who needs to run SEO properly in-house, or a developer who needs to understand a technical fix well enough to own it going forward, sessions are built around your actual site and tools rather than generic material.
Is consulting a replacement for hiring you to do the work?
No — it's the opposite case. Consulting is for teams who want direction and intend to execute in-house. If you'd rather the work itself was done for you, that's a separate, hands-on engagement.
How is a consulting engagement priced?
It's scoped to the ask rather than sold as a fixed package — a one-time contract review is a different shape of work than ongoing team training. Tell us what you need and we'll quote it directly.

Not Sure Consulting Is What You Need?
Start with the free audit — a manual review of your entire site across seven scopes. If what you actually need is direction rather than a report, we'll tell you that too.
No contract, no card, and no call required to receive the audit.
